We first met David Byrne at our workshop after he purchased a vehicle from another customer of ours a few months back. Since then, David has returned to us several times for repairs on his Mercedes a few times. The problem mainly affects the later version of the M271 variants of these engines fitted to these vehicles, which is the 'M271.8 - CGi' (turbo) that is found in W204 body Mercedes-Benz. Though we have seen similar issues in it's older version 'M271.9 - ... ...

With the warmer weather upon us, we thought it would be a great idea to go over a few good driving and maintenance tips. All the staff here enjoy going on road trips and decided that this was going to be the next blog. TIPS FOR ROAD TRIPS • The No. 1 rule is not to put car maintenance off until the last minute (and yes, we do break this rule). Talking about oil leaks.
Did the warning light come on indicating an engine oil problem? Often when an engine is consuming oil, car owners might put off diagnosis for fear that large expensive auto repairs are coming their way. This isn't always the case, but sometimes the motorist’s worst fears are confirmed. Engine oil problems can result from both internal leaks and external ones. An external leak may be considered by some technicians as the best case scenario. This is something you buy a new gasket for and ... ...
